General collection

The exsiccate collection today (2025-07-25), oversees 8761 specimens of 883 vascular plants (angiosperms: 841, gymnosperms: 15 and ferns/afins: 27), 4264 bryophytes sensu lato (mosses: 2716, anthocyanins: 35 and liverworts: 1513), lichens (3061), fungi (551) and micro-algae (2). There are representatives of 346 families, 911 genera and 1555 species. The collection is 49% determined to species and 74% georeferenced.



The collection also houses 13 botanical types of vascular plants and lichenized mushrooms:

Seeds collection

Contains 1088 specimens of dried fruits and seeds of Colombian gymnosperms and angiosperms. It contains specimens from 145 families, 472 genera and 682 species.



Tissues Collection

This collection includes 2977 specimens of dry tissues of Colombian vascular plants. It contains specimens from 115 families, 290 genera and 466 species.



Flowers

This collection includes 580 specimens of flowers fixed in FAA, mostly of Colombian orchids, corresponding to 55 families, 139 genera and 225 species.
