Plant description Height to 1.2 m. Roots to 20 cm, adventitious at nodes 10-6 cm apart. Stem midgreen, dark red tinge in basal portions. Leaf sheath to 3 cm. Leaf lamina to 9 x 1.5 cm, upper surface paler green. Inflorescence branching. Palea, lemma and glume dark pink, seed dark yellow.
