Biological attributes

Phenology Floración
Plant description Shrub of 2 m. Discolorous leaves, with lichens adaxially. Dark green inflorescence axis. Calyx dark green in the base to light green at the apex. Cream corolla tube, and light green limbo. White filaments and cream anthers. Immature fruits green & mature fruits white.
Locality and habit remarks Tropical, lowland, evergreen, mid-Magdalena type rainforest on karst. Plant was collected inside a forest clear beside the path through the forest, dosel high at 20 m, near to plants of the families Leguminosae and Bombacoideae. Flood zones. Lowland forest in the central montain range, riparian forest at the North-west face of the Rio Claro stream.
