Biological attributes

Phenology Floración
Plant description Herb to 1.2 m; discolorous leaves, dark green on top, light green below; inflorescence bracts light green, tubular flowers white-cream, fruit bracts brown, fruit brown.
Locality and habit remarks Tropical, lowland, evergreen, mid-Magdalena type rainforest on karst. Plant was collected inside a forest clear beside the path through the forest, near to plants of the families Leguminosae, Piperaceae and other Acanthaceae. Lowland forest in the central montain range, riparian forest at the North-west face of the Rio Claro stream.
