Plant description | Sprawling shrub to <1 m. Leaves are dark matte green on top & pale green underneath. Stipules are tannish-brown & triangular. Pedicles are sparsley pubescent. Fruits are pubescent & royal to sapphire blue. |
Locality and habit remarks | Lowland, evergreen, tropical rainforest of the Magdalena Valley. Plant in the understory near the path in a semi-open place. Surrounded by other Rubiaceae and small herbs and ferns. On the South-West side of the path leading South from the hotel approx. 100 meters from where the path first turns eastward, just before the bathroom buildings. Less than one meter from edge of path. |
