Phenology	Floración
Plant description	Broad-leaved grass with stoloniferous habit to 30-40 cm; strong stems, purple base with green ascending colour, no smell or latex present. Flowers green and inconspicious, protogynous, style white and hairy, inflorescences sticky.
Locality and habit remarks	Andean Montane sub-cloud forest; forest floor; alongside path; semi-shaded in scant canopy; scattered and spread wide along the border amongst other grasses species and ferns. Less than 1km west of Otun Quimbaya station.
