Plant description | Tree to 4 m, light brown bark smooth, orange-brown bark slash oxidises to black, dark vertical striations. No latex. Strong potato smell. Flower buds growing on trunk/branch, pale green to white. |
Locality and habit remarks | Magdelena Valley forest. Evergreen tropical lowland rainforest on karst. Beneath tree canopy approx. 30m high. Surrounded by palms and Araceae. Epiphytes, mosses, and lichens growing on specimen. Locally abundant. E. side Rio Claro (over the bridge). Right fork after the bridge. Collected 53m S from the bridge. |
