Phenology	Floración
Plant description	Small tree to 4m. Bark brown, bark slash pale brown, grey-brown hairs on stem pointing towards apex. Leaves lighter underneath and with a tomato-like smell, midrib and secondary veins prominant beneath. No latex present. Flowers white and campanulate. Fruits spherical and light green.
Locality and habit remarks	Cloud forest. Tree canopy 4/5m high. Shaded by taller trees above the canopy. Surrounded by Rubiaceae trees of a similar height, lots of lianas present, and mosses growing on the tree. Abundance low. Otun Quimbaya Sanctuary for Flora and Fauna station, Sendero Humedal (W from station), crossed the wide stream and followed the path for 25 m, turned right (away from the cliff) 10 m.
