Biological attributes

Plant description Tree to ~10 m. Branches light brown with strong bark, no latex present. Leaves dark green adaxially, light green abaxially & scented with an essential oil aroma. Flower buds are green.
Locality and habit remarks It is sunny and open area. Tree is at the edge of forest, opening out onto wetland area. It is 4 metres from the stream, growing in damp soil. West of Otun Quimbaya Sanctuary for Flora and Fauna main station, along Sendero Humedal.
