Locally cammon herb, 15-25 cm diameter, prostrate & roserre-forming. Leaves have a bronze, brownish green colourarion adaxially and are a dark carmine a red abaxially. Flowers are bourne singly. Corolla are fused, white, ~10-12 mm in diameter, with 5 lobes, the depth of the floral tube is ~1-2 mm. The upper 2 lobes are smaller than the lower 3. There is a single style, 4 fertile stamens and 1 staminode. The deep yellow anthers of the 4 fertile stamens are clustered around the style and very striking when observing the flower. The veination of the corolla turns a dark pink as the flower ages. Entire plant, except corolla, is covered in long, simple, glandulous trichomes, making the plant very sticky |
